A weekend o' fun.

The end of last week was spent nursing a sickly boy (and no I don't mean GB). Well he wasn't that sickly, but was definitely fighting a cold so we spent most of last week inside away from the -40 degree weather.

Not feeling well means staying in our jammies and lots of cuddles.

By the end of the week I was crazy stir-crazy! So we had a busy weekend. On Friday night we went out to a nice dinner and Max was perfect! We were so happy. Saturday was busy with errands and then Mexican for dinner and Max's first hockey game. We got there kind of late so we didn't get seats so Max spent the first part of the game like this...

On Sunday we headed over to another friends house to watch football and I got to talk baby stuff with my 14 week pregnant friend. So exciting!

On a completely different subject, here is a picture of our newest neighbor.

ps - Lindsey, these are for you :)

This one is for my homies.

Today Max accidently put on his hood, which I find to be quite hilarious. He was being a wild man in his Bumbo and the next time I look over his hood is on. Apparently he is too cool for school.

I promise a weekend update tomorrow. Until then peace from the Bs.

Today was one of those days!

You know the kind of days where you do stupid stuff all day long. Today it was -25 when I left my house at 11am. To combat that kind of cold, we have to plug our cars in up here. Well I drove away this morning without unplugging my car so my extension cord was dragging behind me. I then dropped my keys and broke my automatic starter on my keychain (if you ever move to AK I would highly recommend one). Luckily it went back together ok. There were a million other little things, but man I felt like a dumby.

Definitely need a glass of wine tonight!

Randomness...

  • Max enjoys putting his fingers in his mouth with almost every bite of cereal. Then he likes to touch everything around him to make a mess. Then he giggles. He is so much like his dad already it is scary.
  • I couldn't imagine having twins. Moms of multiples are amazing.
  • I can't believe I forgot about our playmat. Reintroducing that into our life has been great.
  • Max's head keeps getting flatter and I try not to put him on his back (except when he is sleeping), but it still is flat. I feel like a horrible Mom.
  • The person who designed the Fisherprice Jumparoo is a saint.
  • There has been in a moose in our neighborhood for the past few days. It is the biggest moose I have ever seen in my life. It makes me nervous being around all the cars.
  • Bath time at our house is so much fun! I feel sad for Mom's whose babies don't like baths.
  • Without coffee, I think I would be insane.

The prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen...

I am not sure that he will like the fact that I call his eyes pretty when he gets a little older, but I can't help it. I just love those chunky cheeks and bright eyes! They make all of the cranking worth it!

Happy Birthday to my love!

January 17th is a happy day at our house! It is the day that GB was born! We had a great weekend of celebrating. Sunday he went skiing and Max and I did some last minute shopping and picked up stuff for his party. Sunday was birthday party night! Some of his sweet friends brought over shrimp and steak to cook for him and we played cards until 1 am. We had so much fun, but this Momma was tired.

Today was very relaxing. The highlight? Going to Pizza Hut. GB had his choice of any where to eat and he chose Pizza Hut. On the way there we saw a huge moose in our neighbors yard. Max didn't really want to cooperate at dinner, but he did sit in the high chair for the first time!

On to the pictures...

Life in the B household

Has been tiring! My 4month old thinks he is a newborn again. We are up every 3 hours at night. I definitely need a cup of coffee when we get up in the morning. Hopefully we will figure it out and go back to sleeping more at night.

On another note, we have something to look forward to! We are headed to Hawaii this spring. I couldn't be more excited. There will be lots of fruity drinks, lots of sunshine, and built in babysitters because my family is coming along too. I have been trapped in the darkness for far too long and my body needs to the sun (you would not believe the obnoxious amount of pale I am).

And once again a completely different tangent... My baby is growing up too fast. He is getting too big for his bouncer, his bathtub, his swing, etc. He is looking more and more like a little boy everyday and not like a baby. This first 4 months have been tiring, amazing, exciting, and full of love and I can't wait to see what the rest of his life will bring. We are ready for the good, the bad, and the ugly (which will probably be his teenage years if he is anything like me)!

The last little bit of 2010! - Part 2

The second half of our little Christmas vacation was spent in northern Idaho with my family! We had a great time doing things like...

An ugly sweater party the first night that we got into town! It was a hoot!
Daddy gave me a sweet comb over...

We didn't get a full portrait in our sweaters so here are GB and me!
We opened even more presents! Max is one spoiled and well loved little boy!

Uncle Natey got me a sweet coonskin cap and some pistols for when I am a little older!
We tried rice cereal for the first time...

Didn't go over so well.
Mommy and Daddy got to spend some time without the little B. We went skiing at Schweitzer (I didn't fall at all, which is a miracle, but my legs were ridiculously sore)! They got to ring in 2011 by singing Don't Stop Believin'.

There was a white elephant party, some bunco, a meeting lots of new family and friends. It was a crazy busy week, but one that was full of love. For the most part, Max was a happy camper!!

We have a 4 month old!

Well 4 months plus a few days! Max's doctor appointment went well (minus the fact that we were a few minutes late because of this lady). He is growing well and a happy boy! In fact he just started rolling over this week. I am having a hard time believing that he is already 4 months, but then I cannot really remember life without him. He has completely stolen my heart!

The last little bit of 2010! - Part 1

2010 was a great year for my family! We had so much to be thankful for especially our beautiful baby boy. I wanted to recap the last few weeks of 2010 that we spent in Idaho! I cannot explain to you how much I enjoyed going home. I am disappointed in my lack of picture taking so there won't be as many pictures in this little recap as I would have liked.

We flew out the week before Christmas on an all night flight. We had a layover in Spokane, which meant breakfast with my family before we flew down to visit GB's family in Boise. I was exhausted because I was basically up all night long. As much as GB complains about being too big for airplane seats, he slept great, and I did not. Max was awesome though so we were definitely happy for that.

We spent a lot of the time in Boise shopping, because we don't have any good shopping up here. Max got to meet some of my family that lives in the area. GB got to see lots of his friends and we went out a couple of nights, while the in-laws babysat. GB's brother got to meet Max and we had a great Christmas morning. Then we had to pack everything up and head to North Idaho the day after Christmas to spend a week with my family! It was my first Christmas day away from home and I definitely missed my family!
