Sunshine. That is right, folks. We finally have sun!

The sun has finally found Alaska again. I am writing this at 10:15 and it is just now twilight so when I mean sun I am talking 16 hours of straight sunlight. It helps bring a little happiness into my life. We have been trying to enjoy it a little even though we have had so many other kinds of crazy going on in our life.

So without further ado the evidence to our nice weather - remember this is relative... it got up to almost 60 degrees today and I was beyond estatic.

Before Daddy left they enjoyed a little jog through the yard with Max riding on his shoulders. I don't know who was laughing harder.

We were both exhausted after doing the 5K for Autism Awareness! So much fun to get out and walk with some of my favorite ladies! And two of the cutest boys in Alaska!
Once life settles down a little more I promise to be a better blogger! I hope that Easter was great for everyone. I had a little bit of a hard time, because it made me lonely, but having one holiday down means one holiday closer to having our family reunited!

What the past few weeks have taught me.

  • My child is so talented that he can throw his toy in the poopy diaper after he managed to roll through his blowout and get poop on his face. Of course this happens when I am home by myself so I don't have any extra set of hands for help.
  • Laughter after a morning full of tears makes everything seem better.
  • Watching men cry is way harder than watching women cry.
  • Eating your feelings is only temperory helpful, because then you just end up chunkier than when you started.
  • Packing sucks. Period.
  • Cleaning sucks too.
  • I have the tendency to be lazy.
  • Even though I am a grown up, I am so excited to see my mom and give her a hug in a few days that I feel a little immature.
  • Oh and each new day brings a new adventure with a mobile almost 8 month old who has mastered crawling over the past couple of weeks. I am thinking of calling him Speedy Gonzalez.

Loving is what I got!

So much sass.

A game of Peekaboo with Daddy!

So much giggling at this point.

Concentrating on his new toy!

"DADDY!!!! Look at my new toy!!!!"

"I see you".

Peek a ...

Boo!

Wrestling with Daddy!

Squishing Daddy's face.

An evening in the B household! I am definitely starting to feel outnumbered!

Bonding!

We are having been soaking up as much family time as we can get! Between the packing and everything else there hasn't been a ton of lazy down time, but we managed to sneak some in over the past few days. Daddy and Mommy have been playing lots of games and stealing lots of Max snuggles. Snuggle time has been greatly reduced, because someone is Mr. Independent. Here are a few pics that I snapped and hopefully I will have more soon!

Staying Busy!

Oh hi!

Look, no more massive bald spot!

We have been busy doing family things and chasing after this little guy!

Thud and other things.

That is the sound of Max's head hitting the ground. Repeatedly.

I have decided that his noggan must be really heavy because it is always leading the way towards smacking into the ground. He doesn't cry or complain about all the falling he is doing, but I am seriously starting to get concerned. I am excited to move back in with my parents because their thicker carpet will help cushion the fall.

Yesterday we went to a ceremony for GB's brigade. The governor was there and everything including some people we decided must be the Alaska version of SWAT. Max was all about it (minus the fact that he needed a nap). There was patriotic music. He loudly babbled sang through the national anthem and saw tons of other babies that all needed to be shreiked at. There was tons of patriotic music - his favorite song was the Army Song - which he danced and smiled through. All in all is was a pretty great celebration as well as an awesome place to people watch!

I definitely teared up as the National Anthem played and all the troops saluted the flag. I am a big ol' sap like that, however I was quickly distracted from my tears I tried to hush Max as he got to a whole new level of obnoxiously loud in the middle of the song.

Enjoying the festivities!

Starting to get tired...

Mom tries to get me to nap....

Dad tries to get me to nap....

To no success.

I would much rather play with his Ranger tab and his strawberry path. Who knew that uniforms cam with built in toys? The other side is better though because the flag is colorful!

Showing off my outfit and my sweet combover!

On the move...

Our  house is up and movin'. GB and I have been busy (well kinda) trying to get everything packed up and moved out and Max took in the moving vibe and started crawling. He already was getting exactly where he wanted to go, just not officially crawling, but all that changed yesterday when he offiicially started crawling.

We have been busy trying to make as many memories as possible. I can't believe that Max is already over 7 months. I look back at pictures of our sweet little tiny baby and can't believe that this babbling crawler was ever that tiny.

Max is all that is boy and I have a feeling we are going to have many bruises and such in our life. This includes spit. I am constantly covered in baby spit. Really cool accessory, right?

In other news it has broken 40 here this week. It is so nice to have the warmth and sunshine, but not so nice to see the trash that is left behind by the break up. Don't worry though we still have over a foot and a half of snow in our yard so it isn't all exposed yet.

Happy April everybody!
